4. JUMPER METER ASSEMBLY RENTAL AGREEMENT

6. 1. The City of Oviedo requires a fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500.00) deposit.  Deposit must be paid prior to the issuance of the Rental Jumper Meter assembly.   

    

   2. Rate for Potable Water Usage shall be ($4.02) four dollars and two cents per one thousand gallons with a monthly Jumper Meter assembly rental rate of:  2” ($129.47) One hundred twenty nine dollars and forty-seven cents.

    

   3. It is the contractor’s responsibility to provide their own materials and do all necessary procedures to connect the City’s Jumper Meter assembly properly.  The contractor must make arrangements to pick up the jumper meter or have the City deliver it.  

    

   4. The Jumper Meter assembly shall be provided by the City of Oviedo’s Utility Division. Relocation of any Jumper Meter shall first be approved by the City’s Cross Connection Control Division. Failure to notify the City of relocation will result in a fifty dollar ($50.00) relocation fee.  The contractor will be responsible for relocation of the Jumper Meter assembly. The jumper meter assembly shall ONLY be maintained and/or repaired by the City of Oviedo Utility Personnel.  Contact the Utility Division at (407) 971- 5693.

     

   5. Deposits will be forfeited if a Jumper Meter Assembly is tampered with; modified or moved.  If the jumper is to be moved, prior approval must be obtained by the City of Oviedo Cross Connection Control Office 407-971-5693. 

    

   6. The Jumper Meter assembly must be available and accessible for inspection at all times.

    

   7. The meter shall be read and billed monthly or as directed by the Finance Department.  Payment shall be made within 30 days of billing to avoid Jumper Meter assembly pick-up. Additional fees may apply if the Jumper Meter assembly has to be reissued.   A 10% late fee shall be assessed on any payment received after 30 days. 

    

   8. It is the applicant’s responsibility to notify the City of Oviedo when the applicant is done with the Jumper Meter assembly so that a final reading can be taken, and, the City can retrieve the meter.
