Thinking About Running for City Office?

The 2026 City Election is coming up on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 and if you’re considering serving your community, now is the time to start preparing!

Candidate election packets are available for pick-up beginning in March at the City Clerk’s Office.
 We encourage prospective candidates to review materials early and plan ahead for the qualifying period.

To Qualify, You Must:

• Be a qualified elector
 • Have lived within the incorporated City limits for at least one consecutive year immediately prior to the time for qualifying
 • Submit all qualifying paperwork to the City Clerk no later than the qualifying period

2026 Qualifying Period:
 August 3, 2026 – Noon on August 7, 2026
 (During normal business hours in the City Clerk’s Office)

Seats Up for Election in 2026:

• Council Member, Group 2
 • Council Member, Group 3
 • Council Member, Group 4

City elections are non-partisan, at-large, and City Councilmembers serve two-year terms.
