Sweetwater Creek Stormwater Maintenance

Sweetwater Creek Door Hanger

The City has contracted Looks Great Services to assist in the cleaning of vegetative growth and debris removal within Sweetwater Creek.

The work will take approximately two weeks to complete. The work will be from the North side of Franklin Street to DeLeon Street. Cleaning will consist of the removal of any thick vegetation from the creek bed, any trees that have fallen or are in danger of falling since the emergency clearing was conducted post Hurricane Ian in 2022, and any debris in the creek that is a viable threat to slow flow.

The integrity of the banks is of the utmost importance, in order to prevent erosion, vegetation will not be removed from the banks but will be trimmed.  Work will be conducted within the regulatory easement.

Should you have any questions or concerns related to this project, please do not hesitate to contact us at 407-971-5681.

This notice will also be distributed as a door hanger for the residents along Sweetwater Creek. We appreciate your patience!
