UPDATE: May 25, 2023
There has been a significant development regarding Friendship Park. Due to the road widening project combined with the Lawton Elementary parking lot resurfacing there is no safe access to the park. Starting on Tuesday, May 30th it will be closed for about 10-12 weeks. TBD. We apologize for any inconvenience. We have 11 other parks in the City that are open to the public and within a 5-10 minute drive of Friendship Park.
Starting May 30, 2023, Friendship Park will be closed for concrete work. The construction will take approximately two days and is being done at the entrance to the park.
The park is expected to re-open June 1st, barring any unforseen issues.
