SEMINOLE COUNTY COVID-19 TESTING INFORMATION

COVID-19 SELF- SWAB TESTING COLLECTION SITES

Seminole County has partnered with Curative to provide reliable self-collected COVID-19 testing, seven days a week. Identification is required; testing is no cost to the patient, regardless of insurance status. There is no age limit for the self-swab collection, patients who are minors must have a parent/guardian present in order to be tested.

Individuals will be notified within 24-48 hours of their test results, through either an email or text, depending on their preference.

Appointments will be available from 8:00a.m. – 6:00p.m.; walkups are also welcome.

POP-UP COMMUNITY TEST SITES (SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN AND OLDER, ADULTS)

Pop Up Community Test Sites are offered for ages 5+. Patients must bring identification, patients do not have to exhibit symptoms. Testing is no cost to the patient, regardless of insurance status; patients with insurance should bring insurance cards. Patients who are minors must have a parent/guardian present in order to be tested.

Rapid testing and antibody testing are not available at these sites; tests are PCR tests (nasal or oral swab depending on availability) and results are received within 3-5 days.

COMMUNITY CLINICS: LOW OR NO-COST TESTING & HEALTHCARE

Low-cost or no-cost healthcare and COVID-19 testing are available for uninsured and under-insured individuals and families.

AT HOME COVID-19 TEST 

If an individual with disabilities wishes to get a COVID-19 test, the individual will need to call 407-665-0000, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Response to schedule an appointment may take 24-48 hours. A community paramedic will schedule an appointment and deploy to the home to provide a test to the resident.

REGIONAL DRIVE-THRU TESTING

Florida Division of Emergency Management offers a Regional Drive-Thru Test Site, located at the Orange County Convention Center's North Concourse, which is intended to serve all Central Florida residents.

Open daily 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., or until 750 viral culture tests have been collected.
Must be age 18+, no symptoms required. Must have identification, bring insurance card if insured; accepting uninsured patients, as well.
No co-pay, no charge regardless of insurance status.
No appointments, first come-first served basis.
Antibody testing is no longer offered.

AVENTUS BIOLABS DRIVE-THRU TESTING

Private provider Aventus Biolabs offers COVID-19 and antibody drive-thru testing by appointment near the University of Central Florida.

Appointments and pre-registration are required; one appointment per vehicle is required. Visit aventuscovid19.com for info. Patients must be age 7+, symptoms are not required. Registrant must have a valid driver’s license. Bring insurance card to test site, if insured. There is no co-pay for insured patients. Accepting uninsured patients, with self-pay options; self-pay cost is $50 for telehealth consultation, plus $51 for COVID test and lab fees; $51 fee is also applicable for antibody tests. Results are typically available within 72 hours; patients will be notified via email to log into the patient portal to receive results. 

TEST RESULTS

The Florida Department of Health has launched Healthy Together, a mobile app that can help a person view their test results, assess their symptoms and learn what to do after they have been tested for COVID-19. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store by searching for “Healthy Together”. Individuals whose results are uploaded into Health Together with a phone number will automatically receive a text notifying them that their results are available in the app.
