Seniors and Law Enforcement Working Together

Join us Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the COPS Center at the Oviedo Mall (west entrance, near Dillard's), from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Seniors and Law Enforcement Together is a program to reduce criminal victimization of the elderly, enhance the quality of life for senior citizens in our community, and empower them to prioritize and find solutions to their needs.

We do this through providing information on topes that include current crime trends that target seniors, providing resources available in the community, and providing positive encounters with policy by spending the day together condutcing activities.

This FREE program will:

  • Focus on crime and safety needs of seniors
  • Heighten awareness to crime
  • Teach how to not be a crime victim
  • Help deter crime with prevention methods
  • Teach how to most effectively respond to crimes in progress
  • Provide position interaction between seniors and law enforcement
  • Build rappport and friendships with other seniors
  • Offer seminars on Central Florida senior resources
  • Offer activities such as painting, bowling, movies and more
