Training Cudas Swim Team
The Training Cudas Swim Team is a novice swim training program designed for youth ages 6 to 13 year old.
The team is set up as a training team only during the school year; they will not compete in swim meets. The purpose is to work on endurance and strokes. The team meets at the Oviedo Aquatic Facility.
Practices are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Practice time is your choice at registration. Each practice is the same and has a max of 45 swimmers. You cannot switch between the two practices.
Registration for new Training Cuda participants begin on the third Friday of the prior month. Oviedo Residents begin registration at 9 a.m. and Non-Residents begin registration at 10 a.m. Registration can be done either online or in-person at the Oviedo Aquatic Facility.
For future months, returning participants can register beginning on the third Monday of the month. Registrations can be done either in person at the Oviedo Aquatic Facility, or online.
If your swimmer is new to the team, they must complete a try-out prior to registration. The try-out consists of 50 yards of Freestyle non-stop with side breathing, 25 yards of Backstroke, and 15 yards of Breaststroke.
Try-outs can be done any Tuesday or Thursday evening between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. The tryout is important, as swimmers will swim at least 500 yards each practice.

Once on the team, you have the option of prepaying for the following months. However, payment for the each month is due on the due date.
