Rec Rock is an excellent place for climbers ages 6 and up, no experience necessary, to try climbing in a safe environment. Rec Rock has levels from beginner to advanced along its 40-foot high face and is located at Oviedo Gymnasium.

Climbing is available to people age 6 (first grade) and up, weighing at least 45 pounds and a maximum of 250 pounds.

Private Group Climbing

  • Saturday: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Open Climbing

  • Saturday and Sunday: 1 to 7 p.m.
  • Monday through Friday : 6 to 8 p.m.

Please note: During Rock Climbing League, there will not be open climbing on Thursdays. The Rec Roc Wall may be closed for special events, maintenance/repairs, etc.

If the Rec Rock Climbing Waiver (is not signed in front of a Rec Rock Staff Member, the waiver must be notarized.  Call 407-971-5565 for a copy of the form or visit the Gymnasium and Aquatic Facility.
