Biggert Waters Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2012

If you currently hold flood insurance you may start to see an increase in your premium.  Please click the link for information regarding changes to flood insurance policies following the Biggert Waters Flood Insurance Reform Act.  The City of Oviedo strongly recommends the purchase of flood insurance as a regular homeowners policy does NOT cover structure or contents damaged by a flooding event.  For more information regarding flood hazards please contact the City’s Stormwater Coordinator, Amanda Kortus, at akortus@cityofoviedo.net or (407) 971-5682.
