Evans Street is a local road that connects CR 419 to Lockwood Boulevard, directly across from the terminus of the Florida Scenic Trail. Currently, a portion of the road is unpaved with limited access to the public. The scope of this project is to mill and resurface the existing road and pave the unpaved portion. Upon completion, Evans street will provide full access connection from CR 419 to Lockwood Boulevard. Additionally, this project includes the construction of an 8’ paved trail along the south side of Evans Street that will provide a connection to the Florida National Scenic Trail as illustrated in "Phase I" on the attached FLORIDA SCENIC TRAIL CONNECTIONS MAP.
