To find out if a property is in a Special Flood Hazard Area and elevation certificate availability, please contact the City’s Stormwater Coordinator, Amanda Kortus, at akortus@cityofoviedo.net. Flood proofing and flood protection advice is also available for your property.

Biggert Waters Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2012

Please click the link for information regarding changes to flood insurance policies following the Biggert Waters Flood Insurance Reform Act.  The City of Oviedo strongly recommends the purchase of flood insurance as a regular homeowners policy does NOT cover structure or contents damaged by a flooding event.
