My address is Oviedo, why do I have to pay Non Resident fees?
Oviedo Residency only includes those streets that are within the City Limits of Oviedo.  Homeowners at these addresses pay taxes to the City of Oviedo, which help fund the Recreation and Parks Department  There are many Oviedo addresses that are labeled as Oviedo by the postal service, but are technically unincorporated Seminole County.  Homeowners at these addresses do not pay taxes to the City of Oviedo, therefore, an additional Non Resident fee is assessed to cover the cost of programs, facilities, etc.  Click here for a map of Oviedo City Limits.

What is the Refund Policy for Recreation & Parks?
Facility Admissions:  Recreation & Parks does not provide refunds or rainchecks for inclement weather.
Program Registrations

  • The City of Oviedo allows a 48 hour grace period for any cancellation of registration for a program.  All requests must be submitted in writing and within 48 hours of registration in order to receive a full refund.
  • For any changes after the initial 48 hours AND before the program begins there are two options: 1) Refunds in the form of a check are subject to a 25% administrative fee (fee will max at $50)   2) Refunds in the form of a credit balance on the household account will be a full refund.  Credit balances can only be used for programs within the Recreation & Parks Department.
  • There are NO REFUNDS after the program has begun.
